Please continue to announce that the subcommittee needs more members and possible nominations. \n\nThe minutes from the March meeting are attached for your review.\n\nThank You\,\nBrad H\, Secretary\n330-685-2381\n\nCOANA H&I March 7\, 2021 \n\nMatt S called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. with a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer. \nDave M read the Service Prayer \nJohn O read the 3rd Concept \nEmily T read the 3rd Tradition \n\nRoll Call \nThose in attendance introduced themselves and their roles on the subcommittee and their commitments. \nCommittee Members in Attendance \nMatt S\, Chair \nDave M \nBrad H\, H&I Subcommittee Secretary \nEmily T\, Vice Chair \nJohn O \nBarcy C \n\nNew Members in Attendance \nNone \nPanel Updates \nNAME OF FACILITY: CBCF (Men & Women) \nThere are currently no H&I meetings going on in the facility. Meetings are being run by residents. Our contact for recovery services at the facility will reach out to us with information about the facility’s plans for allowing visitors in again when they have more information to offer. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Correctional Reception Center (CRC – Men) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. There are no meetings being held until further notice. Virtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Delaware County Jail (Men) \nLiterature and schedules are in the lobby for inmates to take with them when released. There are no meetings in the facility. The facility is now interested in virtual meetings and may be in attendance on Saturday’s moving forward. Larry K will check with staff at facility to see if they need more pamphlets and schedules for the lobby for inmates to take when released. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Dublin Springs \nDublin Springs has a Zoom account. Our H&I panel members are doing a forty-minute Zoom meeting on Tuesdays at the regular time. The facility joined our Virtual H&I meeting on Saturdays in May. Dublin Springs had previously expressed interest in holding in person meetings again but will not be doing so for the time being. Dublin Springs is attending zoom on the 1st\, 3rd\, and 4th Saturday of the month \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: FCCCI (Men) and FCCCII (Men and Women) \nZoom meetings began in October.  FCCI meets every Monday at 7 PM. FCCII men meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday at 12 PM. If there is a 5th Saturday it will be Men’s meeting. New this month is a Wednesday 1pm meeting at FCCCII Men. FCCCI is looking for anyone interested in speaking on Mondays at 7 PM. If interested\, please contact Fred P. For FCCCII only those members who were previously approved are eligible to participate in the zoom meetings. Fred has asked that the chair try to contact the women in order to schedule a women’s meeting for FCCCII. Fred has also upgraded his zoom account to accommodate this commitment. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Franklin Medical Center (FMC-Men) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. There are no meetings being held until further notice. Virtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: London Correctional Institution (LOCI – Men) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. There are no meetings being held until further notice. Virtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Madison Correctional Institution (MaCI – Men) \nVirtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. When we have speaker tapes and CD’s available to provide to institutions\, I will notify her and arrange to get them to her. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Maryhaven (Women) \nMeeting is going well. On 5th weeks\, Barcy uses a speaker to share. She has shared that spreadsheet incase anyone is interested in volunteering. This meeting could use regular or occasional volunteers. Please have any interested women reach out to Barcy C at 614-508-3487. Preferably once or twice a month unless just on occasion. \n  \nNAME OF FACILITY: Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. There are no meetings being held until further notice. Virtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Parkside \nMatt has been in contact with the facility. Literature and Virtual Schedules were delivered to the facility. Will not be participating in our Virtual H&I meetings. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Pickaway Correctional Institution (PCI) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. There are no meetings being held until further notice. Virtual meeting participation is not an option at this time. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Recovery Works \nThe facility is interested in virtual H&I meetings. They have a new faculty member that assists them in joining the meetings who was not previously there. The facility has been informed of times and dates of meetings and that they are always welcome to attend. \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Salvation Army \nPanel Leader: Thomas C \nNo Report \n\nNAME OF FACILITY: Saturday Virtual Panel \nPanel Leader: John O (Saturdays at 6:30 p.m.) \nWe have regular weekly attendance from the three houses at MaryHaven Women’s Program\, Columbus Springs East\, and Dublin Springs. Columbus Springs East and Dublin Springs have been joining us every Saturday. Chuck had female speakers lined up for the second Saturdays of March and April. Those are still happening. We had a speaker the second week of  February and from what Chuck told John O\, this was successful. At this time\, the second Saturday of the month is a Women’s only meeting. \n\nThe transition from Chuck to John O has been pretty seamless and John-Bob feels confident in running the Saturday Virtual Panel now. \n\nThe meeting link is: http://zoom.us/j/8383371374.The meeting ID is 838 337 1374. There is no passcode required. \n\nPanels in Need of More Panel Members When We Are Able to Go \nBack In \n\nDelaware County Jail (Women): Jenn M is helping to get women to apply and commit to get this commitment started again. \n\nFCCCII – Workhouse (Women): Rona M needs women to commit to the 4th and 5th Saturdays of the month. \n\nMadison Correctional Institution: Chuck M needs at least one more male to commit to the first Tuesday evening of the month. Brack G will be submitting an application. \n\nMaryhaven Detox on South High St: New time\, Friday at 6:00pm. Contact Brack G if interested in joining the panel. \n\nMaryHaven Residential on Alum Creek: Brack G needs panel members for this commitment on Saturdays at 6:30pm. \n\nOhio Reformatory for Women (ORW): This commitment on Monday evenings is in need of women to commit to the 1st\, 4th and 5th Mondays of the month. \n\nRecovery Village: Female panel members needed. \n\nColumbus Springs East: New commitment\, day and time not yet established. Subcommittee members will speak this month and arrange distribution. \n  \n2021 H&I Fundraiser:  Flyer has been approved. PayPal/Venmo/CashApp will be set up this month. The committee discussed the format. The format at this time is a two-hour time frame. With a fifteen-minute intro\, three different 20 minute speakers\, and thirty to forty-five minutes to name the auction winners. We are in the process of reviewing speaker tapes to send to ODRC Facilities. \nNAME OF FACILITY: Delaware County Jail (Men) \nLiterature and schedules are in the lobby for inmates to take with them when released. Dublin Springs had previously expressed interest in holding in person meetings again but will not be doing so for the time being. Dublin Springs is attending zoom on the 1st\, 3rd\, and 4th Saturday of the month \nNAME OF FACILITY: FCCCI (Men) and FCCCII (Men and Women) \nThe panel leaders for FCCC1 and FCCCII were contacted by Franklin County Sheriff’s office and asked to restart H&I meeting using Zoom format. We have agreed to start and the first meeting will be held on Monday\, October 19th for FCCCI and Wednesday\, October 21st for FCCCII. Both will be held at 7pm. The meetings will be a panel format. The facilities have stated that only those members who were previously approved are eligible to participate in the zoom meetings. Fred has asked that the chair try to contact the women in order to schedule a women’s meeting for FCCCII. Fred has also upgraded his zoom account to accommodate this commitment. \nNAME OF FACILITY: Franklin Medical Center (FMC-Men) \nRecovery Services staff returned to the facility on June 24. We have agreed to start and the first meeting will be held on Monday\, October 19th for FCCCI and Wednesday\, October 21st for FCCCII. Both will be held at 7pm. The meetings will be a panel format. The facilities have stated that only those members who were previously approved are eligible to participate in the zoom meetings.
